Global Warming

This morning I woke early and with nothing better to do, I punched my way into this one eyed monster and trawled for news. On Writers Pen (closed writers group on Facebook) I found a new member request. I had set a goal for twenty members by Christmas and this new member was number 20. Hurrah! I started the group just three months ago and it has become a great success. A lot of the members have come through Suraya Dewing, CEO of The Story Mint. We now boast membership from six countries and growth is ongoing.

Then I came here to the blog and found another new member.

This week I have worked hard at the current chapter being edited and am very pleased with the result. My editor's work on untangling my artistic creation is starting to bear fruit. I am beginning to see the odd adverb or dangling participle. There are no passive sentences and I am injecting body into my characters.

It may be a dismal day outside but inside my office I see a huge smile looking back at me from the computer screen. Around the walls are hundreds of coloful photos that seem to be smiling back at me. I shall celebrate by taking the day off, eating some of my wife's baked bread, and enjoying a day of doing absolutely nothing.
